About this project

It is a heartbreaking reality that numerous women and children are subjected to domestic and sexual abuse. The alarming rate is 1 in 4 house holds in America. In 2022 in Denton County alone there were 2,585 reported cases. These are only the cases reported. Think of the thousands of cases that aren't being reported. This deeply concerning issue affects countless individuals across various communities and societies. Women and children, who should be safe and protected within their own homes, often find themselves in distressing situations where their physical and emotional well-being is compromised.

Domestic and sexual abuse can have devastating and long-lasting effects on the victims, leading to trauma, fear, and a loss of self-esteem. It is essential that we as a society work together to raise awareness, provide support, and implement comprehensive measures to prevent and address this pervasive problem. Only through collective action we can make a difference and provide Haven Homes as a solution.

Partner with us as we have plans to open up a safe haven home in 2024. The home will have 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a beautiful backyard with lots of privacy. This home will be a safe place while we put together a plan of action after abuse as taken place. We will be able to provide 2 jobs with opening up this home. This home would also potentially house 80 women and children over the year. There is a major need for these homes. We speak to so many women that stay in dangerous situations because they don't have the financial support to get out to safety.
